Jennifer Connelly, Transaction Manager
I am a Virgo. A lawyer. Very “Type A.”
I’m a stickler for details. I love checklists. I wrote and analyzed legislation for a living.
I love contracts.
That might not sound like much fun to you, but I promise I really like working with people, too.
For most agents, the paperwork is the part of their jobs they enjoy the least. That’s where I can help. I grew up in real estate. My father is a licensed agent who, after a brief career in real estate sales, has run his own property management business for 25 years. I worked alongside my father off and on and eventually went into sales myself, obtaining my broker’s license in 2014.
Prior to launching my sales career, I graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, and spent several years working in legislation and policy on Capitol Hill and in private industry. While working in Washington, I earned my master’s degree in Legislative Affairs from The George Washington University and completed my law degree at The Catholic University of America. I went on to become licensed to practice law in Maryland, Virginia, and DC. Being exposed to the varied laws in these jurisdictions prepared me well for the differences in real estate forms and laws from one area to the next.
I made my home at the Coldwell Banker office at Church Circle in Annapolis. Working alongside world class agents, I honed my skills and expanded my network. The agents in the office are second to none, and I am happy to count them as friends and colleagues. Believe me when I tell you I’ve had some transactions that were far from textbook. Many of them, for one reason or another, were at risk of not making it to the closing table. Knowing the law, being comfortable with contracts, and working with wonderful people helped me get even the toughest deal through to settlement.
As a single mom to my four beautiful girls, I wanted to take a step back from sales, which took me away from my kids during the evening and on weekends, when business is booming, but so are kids’ sports and activities. I wasn’t ready to walk away from real estate just yet, though. The transaction management opportunity gives me the best of both worlds and capitalizes on my expertise in contracts.
What if you could focus on generating new business and serving your clients, while knowing that the contract to close process was in someone else’s good hands? Transaction management allows you to stay in control of your transaction, ensure your clients are receiving the best experience possible, and take back your time.
I look forward to working with you!
